Volvo VCC RBS0-2AE
The specification was introduced in 2015 for the latest generation of “DRIVE-E” gasoline (VEP) and diesel (VED) engines equipped with catalytic reduction systems and diesel particulate filters (DPF) and environmentally friendly VEA (Volvo Environmental Architecture) EURO 6 four-cylinder diesel and gasoline engines. Low-viscosity, fully synthetic 0W20 ACEA A1/B1 viscosity engine oil. This specification must be used in all markets except the USA.
Volvo VCC 95200377
Approved for gasoline and diesel engines. Meets ACEA A5/B5-12, SAE 0W30, and API SL specifications for superior lubrication of atmospheric and turbocharged engines (2.0l, 2.3l, 2.4l, 2.5l, 3.0l, 3.2l, 4.4l) produced after 2004. Fully synthetic energy-saving oil.
Volvo VCC 95200356
Approval for Volvo 2.5L and 2.4L diesel (single-stage injection) and gasoline 5-cylinder engines built before 2007, which were designed for SAE 0W-30 SAE A3/B4, SAE 0W30 oils.
VDS-4
A new standard based on the requirements of API CJ-4. The VDS-4 standard, compared to API CJ-4, has stricter requirements in the Mack T-12, Cummins ISM, and Cummins ISB tests plus the Volvo D12D test. Oils are available in two viscosity ranges SAE 5W-30 and SAE 15W-40. The VDS-4 standard is designed for all engines manufactured after 2007. VDS-4 motor oils provide better wear protection, thermal stability, and oxidation stability compared to VDS-3 oils. The standard is primarily designed for Volvo vehicles with EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), DPF (Diesel Particulate Filters), and/or SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems. In addition, VDS-4 oils can be used in all other Volvo engines as long as fuel with low sulfur content, up to 5000 ppm (0.5%), is used.
VDS-3
The standard was developed for Volvo’s Euro 3 engines but is recommended for earlier models as well. VDS-3 oils are not suitable for vehicles with diesel particulate filters (DPFs). VDS-3 oils resist soot formation, prevent deposits on pistons and cylinder liners and protect against wear. VDS-3 complies with API CI-4 and ACEA E7. The main difference from VDS 2 is in strengthening all major parameters to extend the terms of oil replacement.
VDS-2
The standard was developed for Volvo’s Euro 2 engines which meet the 1996 European exhaust emission requirements. VDS-2 oils for Volvo trucks produced up to and including 2004. Exceeds VDS requirements by all major parameters. Meets ACEA E1-96, SAE SAE 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-30, 10W-40 or 15W-40.
VDS
Specification for extended drain intervals for engine oils used in older diesel engines with turbocharged Euro-1. Basic requirements: viscosity SAE 15W-40 or 10W-30; quality no lower than API CD.

Volvo XC70 Generations
Volvo XC70 2007 (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016), 3 generation
Volvo has unveiled the third generation of the XC70, a model that began as an experiment and ended up being the Swedish automaker’s most anticipated model. The manufacturer has installed wider underbody protection at the front and rear of the car. The black bumpers have chrome details around the front fog lights and rear reflective lights. On the sides, the 2007 XC70 has black moldings on the fenders and side sills to hide the increased clearance between the wheel arches and the wheels due to the higher ground clearance compared to the regular V70 station wagon. Inside the XC70 has the same interior as its regular counterpart. It has the same minimalist design with a clean dashboard, not cluttered with buttons. The center panel was typical of the Swedish brand: climate control panel and CD stereo above it. In the back, the XC70 is equipped with a 40/20/40 folding bench. The front passenger seat also folded down to form an extended loading area from the tailgate to the dashboard. Despite belonging to Ford, Volvo installed its engines with five or six cylinders, all turbocharged.
Volvo XC70 2016 (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), 2 generation
Sometimes in the past, Volvo station wagons looked like boxes on wheels, but that has changed, and in 2016 the Swedish company launched the stylish V90 station wagon. Volvo started a new direction in design language after 2010 and brought new ideas to the headlights and grille. The daytime running lights are inside the headlights and have a T-shaped design inspired by the hammer of Thor, a mythical god in the old Swedish religion. Inside, the V90 has four seats with limited legroom for a third passenger on the rear bench. Carefully selected materials and a minimalist design language create a sense of luxury. The audio system was developed in conjunction with Bowers & Wilkins and mimicked the Goteborg concert hall. As for the trunk, the Volvo V90 offered a large volume that could be increased to 1,526 liters (53.9 cubic feet) of space. The V90 was offered with a choice of diesel, gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, with front or all-wheel drive. All versions were paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Volvo XC70 2019 (2019, 2020, 2021), 2 generation
The release of the 2020 S90/V90 could not be complete without the 2020 V90 Cross Country variant. It is designed to be used as a luxury car, a people carrier and, in some situations, a station wagon that can climb into a remote hilltop cabin on a winding, bumpy road. Despite the same technical platform as the S/V90, the Cross Country version has only traditional internal combustion engines, and no plug-in hybrid has been announced, but the existing versions are mild-hybrid. The Volvo V90 Cross Country represents the first electrified version in the history of the Cross Country lineup. There are two gasoline versions and two diesel versions. They are all four-cylinder and turbocharged. The gasoline versions make 250 hp and 310 hp, respectively, and the turbodiesels make 190 hp and 235 hp, respectively. Only the low-powered diesel is available with a six-speed manual transmission, while the others are equipped with an eight-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is standard on all Cross Country models.
Volvo XC70 2016 (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), 1 generation
Volvo unveiled a CrossCountry version of the big V90 station wagon at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, combining a luxury car with a little off-road potential. Although it shared most of its body panels with the standard S90, the CrossCountry version featured a silver shield under the front bumper and engine compartment. On the sides, black plastic moldings on the fenders enhanced the off-road look of the car and hid the gap between the wheels and wheel arches. Ground clearance was higher than on the conventional version, reaching 21 cm (8.3 inches). At the rear, the car has a painted black lower bumper, so scratches from bushes or gravel do not spoil the appearance of the car. Inside, the V90 CrossCountry offers less cargo space than the car it replaced, the XC70. But that wasn’t a problem for the Swedish automaker, as it still provided plenty of space. Its five-seat cabin offers plenty of legroom for rear passengers, while front passengers get an excellent level of comfort. Volvo offered the XC90 with a choice of a gasoline or diesel engine, all turbocharged. The automaker combined them with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
